I have tried Fractional CO2 Laser + PRP and CO2 alone for my acne scars recently. I found that combination treatment worked better and skin healed faster.

  2. Jessica says:

Combination treatment is really effective. I have acne scar over my whole face. The improvement is noticeable by friends even after the first treatment.

  3. Mic 1971 says:

The CO2 treatment softened my old suture scar and reduced the discoloration. I think it reduced my eyebags and wrinkles at the same time. There was a few day of dry scabs but it can be concealed with my concealer. No problem for me to go out. The doctor also recommended me to rejuvenate and even up my skin tone by combining this laser with laser toning later.

  11. weba says:

Dou you use prp treatment while using Fractional CO2 laser or after the laser(about 1 or 2 weeks)? Is there any difference if using prp treatment?

  12. Adm says:

Fractional CO2 Laser is proven to stimulate new collagen. PRP is another procedure that stimulate collagen synthesis. When these two treatments are conducted together, the healing time is shortened and the ultimate effect is optimized.
We perform both treatments at the same days because patients usually prefer minimal visiting sessions and less incidence of post treatment downtime. Post laser downtime however can be concealed with tinted sunscreen.

  13. mandy says:

I have done Photorejuvenation. May I know what is the difference between Fractional laser and photorejuvenation?

  14. Adm says:

Photorejuvenation is done with IPL. This is a non-ablative procedure, helps to stimulate epidermis (upper layer of the skin) collagen and reduce epidermal pigmentation changes. Fractional laser is semi-ablative. The laser can penetrate and stimulate up to the dermis (middle layer of the skin) layer. Therefore, this is ideal for acne scar, deep fine lines, stretch marks correction.

Hi doctor, I would like to ask whether the Fractional Co2 Laser is good for young patients? I am 21 yrs old. Will the laser damage my skin? Also, only some part of my face needed the laser, so if i only do laser on those parts, will my face look uneven next time?

  19. anonymous says:

    why no reply?

  20. zack says:

Doctor, I’m just 21 but I’m very concerned about my face. I have some acne scars on my face and some wrinkles on my forehead. The pores are quite bad at the t zone. What can i do to make my face clear? I mean i want porcelain skin.

  21. Adm says:

With referring to your question of “What does it mean by combination treatment? how much does it cost” I am sorry that you have not received our reply.

Combination treatment refers to fractional CO2 + PRP+ Subcision.

Fractional CO2 Laser is proven to stimulate new collagen. PRP is another procedure that stimulate collagen synthesis. When these two treatments are conducted together, the healing time is shortened and the ultimate effect is optimized. On the other hand, subcision help to remove the scar tissue at the bottom of the scars.

We perform both treatments at the same days because patients usually prefer minimal visiting sessions and less incidence of post treatment downtime. Post laser downtime however can be concealed with tinted sunscreen.

For the second question of “Hi doctor, I would like to ask whether the Fractional Co2 Laser is good for young patients? I am 21 yrs old. Will the laser damage my skin? Also, only some part of my face needed the laser, so if i only do laser on those parts, will my face look uneven next time?”

The answer is, ” Fractional laser is suitable for all age group from children to elderly ,who want to improve the scars, pores, eye bags, wrinkles, skin textures. The laser does not ‘damage’ the skin but stimulate collagen synthesis. You can have the laser on whole face or the problem areas in the frequency of once a month.”

  22. Adm says:

    Dear Zack,

Obviously you have oily skin type.

To improve your skin, first you must control the oil or sebum secretion. Treatinoin or adapalene cream are some off the good examples.

Fractional laser is ideal and golf standard in treating acne scars, large pores and fine lines because the laser go deep into the skin to stimulate new collagen formation.

After 3-5 sessions, new collagen will continue to grow in the next 3-6 months.

Other treatments such as medium peels, microdermabrasion, carbon laser genesis will give you the similar glow and clear skin but not as effective as fractional laser in scars and pores reduction.

    Hi Doctor,

What about Fractional Co2 Laser cost for pregnancy Strectch Marks? How it cost to cover the tummy area per session? Would this also help with skin tightening to cure sagging and stretch marks tummy?

  24. lie lyn says:

Hi doctor, I’m Lielyn Pilipino. I had one laser treatment at 24/12/11 for my scars. How much is the cost?

  25. Adm says:

    Dear Jess,

Fractional CO2 Laser is an ideal treatment for new and old stretch marks. A satisfactory results can be observed even after one session. For best results, 3-5 sessions is advised and can be combines with PRP to optimise the end result. The fee is between RM 1000-2000, depends on the area size.
The laser will help tighten the skin but is not the best treatment for sagging tummy. In our experience, Venus Freeze gives a very good result for tummy tightenig, thanks to the latest Magnetic Pulse technology. Venus Freeze can improve skin laxity, reduce fat and cellulite.

  26. anonymous says:

hi..i have a burn keloid scar about 3cm2 on my left wrist and the scar aged about 7yrs ago. the scar textures are uneven and the discoloration is significant. is that co2 fractional laser treatment is suitable with this type of scar on hand? appreciate for any advised.

  27. Frustrated says:

I’ve done CO2 two months ago and the patches of redness is still there. I have to put layers of concealer to cover them. When will they clear?

  28. Adm says:

The fractional CO2 laser helps to improve hypertrophy scar as we as the discoloration. Most of the times, intralesional corticosteroid injection is combined for a better result.

  29. Adm says:

    Dear Joe,

If you face any problem after a procedure, you should consult the doctor by now. The redness may be due to different reason.

  30. Adm says:

For a small scar, RM 200.

  31. Adm says:

    Dear Cheryl,

The laser is efffective on pores reduction. 3-5 sessions is ideal.

  32. Adm says:

    Dear Mandy,

Fractional CO2 is a semi-ablative laser. The laser can stimulate skin up to the dermal layer. It is more powerful in wrinkles reduction, firming and scar reduction. The anti-aging effects can last a few years. Minimal sunburn like downtime for 3-7 days, the results last much longer that photorejuvenation.

Photorejuvenation is not a laser but light treatment. It rejuvenates skin and reduce pigments formation. Instant glowing complexion and leaving zero downtime, it is ideal for instant rejuvenation. However, this treatment is not as good as laser in traeting scars and deep lines.

  33. Michael says:

    Hi ,

I recently completed 8 Fractional CO2 laser trmts for mild-medium acne scars..I was wondering how long the effects/results of this treatment will last..

Also in time will my skin revert back to its previous condition(pre-op)?

  34. Olivia says:

I heard that IPL is not suitable for Asian. it will cause hyperpigmentation. IPL is suitable for fair skin people from western. Is it true?

I read from internet review about laser/treatment, a lot of people after went through laser treatment like IPL or Faxel, they face sagged, look 10 years older, because of fat lost.

  35. Adm says:

IPL is not suitable for darker skin of type V and VI. However, almost all Chinese, and most of the Malay and fairer skin Indian in our country can go for IPL treatment.
In general, IPL and most lasers target on the epidermis and some lasers target on the dermis of the skin, stimulate collagen production at this depth of skin. These procedures delay aging, correct fine lines and tighten the skin. These light and lasers do not penetrate deep into subcutaneous fat layer and very unlikely cause fat loss.

  36. Sym says:

I have ance scare on my face. Its already about 15 years. Is Fractional CO2 + PRP suitable for me? And I’ve similar question that Michael asked.
Will my skin revert back to its previous condition after the treatment? And how much for the Fractional CO2 Laser + PRP combination? Do you have any offer recently? And normally for ance scar like me(15 years), how long will it take to cure? And how many session will I need to take? Thanks.

  37. Adm says:

There are two types of acne scars, atrophy (depressed scars) and hypertrophy (raised scars). PRP and fractional CO2 laser is excellent for atrophy scars. As this treatment breaks down the fibroutic scar tissues and stimulate the skin to reproduce new collagen, the treatment result is long lasting. In general skin takes 6 months to remodell the new collagen and therefore the scar takes at least 6 months to improve after each session. The younger the patient, the faster the improvement. In general 3 PRP and 3-5 laser is optimal. We have Anniversary and Raya Promotion currently, for every PRP done you will get free fractinal CO2 laser. Contact 03-5882 9088 for more details.

  38. Sym says:

When will be the promotion ended? And will it have any side effects? Could you drop me an email to symmlbh@gmail.com on the Raya promotion price. My scar is atrophy type. And the promotion is valid on a single session or package signup required? Thanks.
